7th Grade Social Studies

equips students with a foundational understanding of geography before exploring various global
regions. This course covers Canada and the United States, Latin America, Europe and Russia,
Africa, Southwest and Central Asia, and Monsoon Asia, providing students with a comprehensive
view of each area's geographical characteristics, cultural nuances, and contemporary challenges.
Through engaging case studies, students will examine real-world issues such as the
sustainability of the Great Lakes freshwater ecosystem, consumption patterns in the United
States, land use conflicts in the Amazon Rainforest, the dynamics of cooperation within the
European Union, and the impact of women micro-entrepreneurs in Africa. This curriculum
