Berkshire Middle School
Berkshire is recognized as a high-achieving middle school that concentrates on the
overall academic and social development of students. Known for its vibrant and rich
multicultural learning community and rigorous curriculum, Berkshire integrates core
values and discussions of ethical issues into the curriculum. Book discussions include
the traits of characters while hard math problems prompt discussions of
perseverance. Differentiated instruction meets learning needs to help all students
succeed.
Birmingham Covington School
At Birmingham Covington School, students in grades 3 to 8 are offered rigorous
academic programs and a wide range of extracurricular activities, including
engineering technology classes and inquiry-based courses. In multi-age classrooms
(grades 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and 7th-8th) and two-year academic cycles, students learn
in an interactive atmosphere where they are challenged to apply and integrate their
knowledge. Through interdisciplinary projects, students incorporate and demonstrate
