The grade point average (GPA} on your transcript includes all courses taken at Groves and Seaholm and any other accredited institution.
Classes taken for credit only, or on a pass/fail will be recorded as "G" or "U" with no GPA impact. BPS uses a 4.0 grading scale.
Advanced Placement, Honor Classes and Dual Enrollment are awarded an extra honor (weighted) point for grades C and
above.
Directions:
1. Using the chart above, covert your letter grade to the numerical equivalent.
2. Add all numerical grades together.
3. Divide by the number of "Credits for GPA." Credits for GPA encompasses all courses, including courses failed, except for
classes taken on a Pass/Fail (G/U) basis. Do not include any classes taken on a Pass/Fail basis when calculating GPA.
Total Overall GPA Calculation for all completed Classes:
If calculating your total GPA for all completed classes you can find the "Credits for GPA" on the transcript under "Overall Summary" on
the right side.
GPA for point in time in a current Semester:
Do steps 1 and 2 above. Then calculate the "Credits in Progress."
