77030 CTE Internship, Unpaid
Students who have identified a specific career path and would like to work in that field as an unpaid intern for one
semester during their junior or senior year may select this option to earn a ½ credit. Approval of a Work-Based Learning/
internship position is subject to state, federal and program restrictions. Student may be eligible for one release period.
Students must work at least 45 hours to receive credit. We encourage students to register for this course during scheduling
to reserve their spot. This course may be repeated for credit, per teacher approval.
Prerequisites: Junior or Senior academic standing and concurrently enrolled in a related CTE class.
Grades Taught: 11 and 12

77020 CTE In-District Internship
Students may select this unpaid Internship opportunity with teacher and counselor recommendation. They will be
assigned to an office or department within the school district. This is an unpaid Work-Based Learning opportunity
designed to develop workplace skills in a students’ desired career pathway. Spots for In-District Internships are limited and
there is an application and interview process. If a student is provided an In-District Internship, they are assigned to work
during one class period for one semester. This course may be repeated for credit, per teacher approval.
