740020 Principles of Accounting (Formerly named Accounting A)
For all students interested in pursuing a business-related degree or becoming a business owner, mastery of accounting
principles is essential. The complete accounting cycle for a service business is presented in this course; skills such as
journalizing, posting, preparing a trial balance worksheet, understanding and completing financial statements, closing
books, as well as bank reconciliation, are covered. Coursework is completed using a digital learning system to optimize the
most up-to-date engaging content. Accounting principles, practices, procedures, and theories are emphasized for a solid
foun-dation for any college business curriculum or to help students become more marketable in today’s business

740120 Advanced Accounting (Formerly named Accounting B)
Advanced Accounting focuses on financial analysis, data interpretation, and payroll compliance practices within a business.
Students will gain an understanding of analyzing financial statements, evaluating ratios, and interpreting financial data to
make informed business decisions. Through a variety of engaging activities, students will develop critical thinking and
problem-solving abilities, preparing them for further studies or careers in accounting and finance. College credit and
